The location and venue were lovely. The restaurant was quaint and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was ok. The room was clean, and well stocked (except for lacking a wine bottle opener). The views were lovely and hearing the sounds of the animals nearby was very relaxing.

We loved how the facilities managed the heat very well with the Air conditioning and great water pressure in the shower. The cleaners kept everything nice and tidy in the room which was a large space with good large beds also the pool was very close to our room. The animals were easily accessible and clearly well looked after as well as the staff - in particular Anika and George were helpful and friendly.

The farm is in an attractive location. The little cabins are comfortable and have nice balconies overlooking the dam. The restaurant on site is a plus as it is rather in the middle of nowhere and the food is not bad.

I loved everything. We were in a luxurious glamping tent slightly up the mountain so the view was glorious! It was so quiet and peaceful with an outdoor shower plus a shower/ bath inside. The restaurant was amazing with an open deck on the river, excellent service and delicious food. There are little ponies, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and of course ostriches - wonderful for children! Below our tent tbere were a group of deer grazing. There is a choice of swimming pools all beautifully clean and the gardens are sublime with lovely grasses areas and shady trees. I would go back in a heartbeat!

What a unique and wonderful experience. This is a functioning ostrich farm, so there are ostriches and other animals all around which is great fun. You can even buy some food pouches to feed them if you are feeling brave! The room was big, clean and comfortable, and very good value for money! We were able to drive right up to the cabin front door and park there which was great for our luggage. The restaurant was great with very good food (and yes ostrich is on the menu!) They also had a car washing service which was really handy.

We stayed in the tents, and it was an excellent glamping experience! Perfect for couples looking to try something totally different and unique. The setting is peaceful, and the atmosphere adds to the charm. The on-site restaurant is fantastic, offering a great variety of dishes, and the breakfast was a highlight – fresh, delicious, and satisfying. The location is ideal, especially if you're planning to visit the nearby caves. It's convenient and makes for a great base to explore the area. The only downside was the water pressure, which could definitely be improved. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d highly recommend it!

We liked everything and did not wish to leave, the food was exceptional, the breakfast had lots of selection but the real treat was dinner which was exceptional, beautifully cooked and presented and such a lovely relaxed restaurant environment which is just what you need at the end of a busy day as tourists. We stayed in one of their tents, it was just amazing, so comfortable and in nature, the staff were kind and friendly. There is a wide choice of types of accommodation, we would 100% return to Old Mill Lodge. Many thanks and kindest regards to them all.

Really lovely and comfortable. Perfect for families with kids. Everything you need is on the premises. It gives off the grid energy. Pool was clean. Very quiet. Breakfast was great. Location is really nice and convenient- close to the out of Oudtshoorn attractions but still close enough to town.

It was more than described when booking, excellent get away for the whole family., including your pets, really pet friendly. What I liked most about the place, there is something for everyone. Activities are amazing, and it is fantastic. People are always on hand for assistance. 10/10 for all staff, and what a welcome did we get. Thank you Renier, excellent hosting and service.. Will recommend it to anyone. Will see you soon.

Quiet, comfortable and very well maintained with beautiful lawns and gardens. The staff, particularly the reception staff were really helpful. But having said that all the staff were polite. The swimming pools were fabulous with comfortable loungers and shade if needed. Buffet Breakfast offered hot and cold food and was plentiful and well prepared. Would definitely recommend the Old Mill.
